About Life’s Styles Barber Academy

We warmly welcome you to the Life's Styles Barber Academy experience, where we are dedicated to providing comprehensive education on both the business and art of barbering. Our ultimate goal is to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain their barbering license and establish a successful career in the hair industry.

Life’s Styles Barber Academy was established in 2020. Our barber school has a comprehensive curriculum to teach beginner barbering students as well as students who have experience with the craft. We help with job placement upon completion of our barber academy and passing the state exam. We offer help and guidance to barber students who would like to open their own barbershop. We also offer services like our Barber Instructor program, Advanced Barbering, and Barber Business.

Mission Statement

The mission of barber school Life’s Styles Barber Academy is to give our students the highest quality of education concerning the field of barbering in order to take, and pass the state barbering exam and get them licensed in Washington State, using the most innovative, up-to-date, tools, technology, teaching curriculum, training, and haircutting techniques. This includes teaching the craft of barbering, the Business of barbering, and product creation. Our goal is To produce the next generation of highly skilled barbers As well as the next top business owners.

Our Barber Academy Offers

Barbering

The Life's Styles Barbering course is a comprehensive 1,000-hour program designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training needed to pursue their barbering career and prepare for the Washington State Barbering Exam.

Our curriculum combines theory with practical training, covering essential areas including barbering history, sanitation and disease prevention, safety, cutting and grooming techniques, and the business of barbering. Our goal is to develop confident, knowledgeable, and skilled barbers who are prepared to enter the industry and build successful careers.

Instructor

The instructor course is 500 hours and is a comprehensive, thorough course covering different techniques and strategies for teaching barbering. Our course will walk you step by step through proven classroom strategies and technical cutting techniques. We encourage and help each student instructor identify their strengths, improve their weaknesses, and develop an effective teaching strategy and process.

Advanced Barbering

Our Advanced Barbering course is designed for licensed barbers and cosmetologists who want to learn, refine, and elevate their skills in clipper cuts, shear cuts, and precision trimming techniques. We cover a variety of techniques while tailoring the course to the individual needs of our students.

Whether it's a comb-over clipper cut or a taper/fade on a three-inch afro, students gain hands-on experience working with multiple hair textures and lengths. Our goal is to provide advanced training that allows our students to return to the industry with greater confidence, stronger technical skills, and the ability to deliver premium services that command top-dollar pricing.

Barber Business

Our Barber Business course goes beyond the chair to teach students the business side of the barbering industry. We cover essential business structures, strategies, and practices for independent barbers, self-employed professionals, and aspiring business owners.

Students will learn how to approach barbering as both a craft and a business, with a focus on building their brand, understanding business operations, creating additional revenue opportunities, and positioning themselves for long-term success in the hair and grooming industry.
